Hoskote Mission is one of the main mission fields of the Marthoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA and is situated 25 km from Bangalore away from the hustle and bustle of the city) . Under the leadership of Rev. M G. Chandy, (Late Dr. Alexander Marthoma Valiya Metropolitan) Hoskote Mission was initially established in a modest manner in 1947 with the fervent support of the Marthoma community in Bangalore Mr. A.C. Zachariah (later Rev. A. C. Zachariah) and Mr. MT Joseph were the first missionaries. The Mission work, which began discreetly in Hoskote Village, has grown to include hundreds more villages in its ministry.
The Hospital Ministry which started in 1965 as a small room has grown to 100 bedded Hospital. A Destitute Home or the Shanti Mandiram was started in 1980 to accommodate the homeless and helpless members of the society. The Bible Institute began in 1991 to train and equip evangelists.
